Product review: Denada ice cream
Denada ice cream is another healthier treat alternative for those following a low carbohydrate or keto diet. Some flavours are also vegan.
Denada ice cream
Denada ice cream comes in colourful 475ml tubs. They contain (mostly) natural ingredients and no added sugars. They are sweetened with xylitol and are low in carbohydrates and sugar and gluten-free. A couple of their flavours are also dairy-free and vegan.
There are currently 8 flavours which you can find in Coles and other smaller supermarkets (such as IGA and Foodworks) and health food shops. Check Denada’s website at the bottom of this page for more information about stockists.
Not sure if this is the company’s name origin but “de nada” in Spanish means “you’re welcome”.

Taste test
We tried the Vanilla and Double Choc flavours. We liked both, although the favourites were divided in the household. We thought they did not taste artificial. One thing to keep in mind is that the coconut flavour can be noticeable. As it happens with all “healthy” ice creams, this one also melts quickly.
Summary and recommendations
Denada ice cream is a good alternative to regular ice cream for people who want or need to follow a low carbohydrate and/or low sugar diet. As other processed foods, it should not be eaten on a regular basis, but as an occasional treat.
