End of Year Review 2018

This is my second instalment of the end of year review (see last year’s here.

I took the idea from Katy Bowman, who has been doing a version of this review (geared toward movement) in her podcast (find this year’s here and last year’s here). The questionnaire has been adapted from Robin Blanc Mascari‘s original questions.

Completing and Remembering The Previous Year

What was your biggest triumph this past year?
To get invited to do the Krav Maga instructors course

What was the smartest decision you made this past year?
To stay in Sydney even though it meant a long-distance relationship

What one word best sums up and describes this past years experiences?
Challenging

What was the greatest lesson you learned in the past year?
Most limits are self-imposed

What was the most loving service you performed this past year?
To be present for my husband

What is your biggest piece of unfinished business in this past year?
Picking up the guitar (again!)

What are you most happy about completing this past year?
Getting my blue belt

Who were the three people that had the greatest impact on your life this past year?

  • My husband for pushing me outside of my comfort zone
  • My mentor for her support
  • My lama for asking me to teach Krav Maga

What was the biggest risk you took this past year?
To change jobs (again!)

What was the biggest surprise this past year?
My brother-in-law will become a dad

With my husband

Play my guitar at least a handful of times

Creating A New Year

What would you like to be your greatest triumph in the coming year?
Working in sports nutrition

What advice would you like to give yourself this coming year?
Be more focused (again!)

What is the major effort you are planning to improve your financial results in the coming year?
Working more on marketing for my practice

What would you be most happy about completing this new year?
Becoming a Krav Maga instructor

What major indulgence are you willing to experience this coming year?
A trip to Japan (outstanding from last year)

What would you like to change about yourself in the coming year?
Procrastinate less

What are you looking forward to learning this new year?
Basic Japanese

Moving interstate

Developing my sports dietetics skills

Drumming

Training with my husband, which I do as often as I can
